This last week we celebrated the birth of Patty. We had a great time and partied for 4 days. Some highlights: 1. The U of U gymnastics meet (clearly a secret plot by my parents to turn my girls Red). Note: Mom was a charter member of the world-famous U of U gymnastics team back in the 60's. The meet was awesome and I really enjoyed sitting by Tyson & Emily and mocking the gymnast's dance moves (they are spectacular tumblers but the pump-up-the-jam stuff in between passes has got to go). Unfortunately, the guy sitting in back of us got really offended because he thinks the dancing is what makes the routines "sexy". Eeww. 2. Sunday night at the parents where mom showed all the grandkids some of her treasures, and favorite photos. The kids loved it and learned some good things about their grandma. 3. Celebrating the Chinese New Year with Mom and her sisters at Asian Star. The kids loved the dragon dance and putting dollars in the dragon's mouth for good luck. We did have a tense moment when Felicity put a dollar in the dragons mouth and it tried to give her a grateful nuzzle and apparently that was a little too fresh for Felicity because she puched it in its paper mache face. I think that reverses the whole good luck thing. 4. Eating our weight in chocolate fondue at mom's on the night of her birthday. Thanks to mom for bringing so much fun into our lives. We sure love that lady.

Man, I can't believe I missed all 4 celebrations. And, looking at that picture of mom, I also can't believe that I don't look more like her.
